As a member of CW you have free access to this great residential weekend. Just one of the benefits of being a member of CW. Our vision is to empower and encourage Christian Children’s workers to set the highest standards in Christian work with children and families. Much of what we do is about bringing people together to share experiences, resources and ideas. We also run some important national events, including our annual conference, Whizz Kids and Dalesdown Camps.
For many years we have been delivering Whizz Kids at major Christian events in the UK, where our experienced team deliver fantastic opportunities for fun, worship and teaching for children. In 2016, Whizz Kids celebrated 30 incredible years of ministry to children during Spring Harvest at Skegness. It’s a wonderful privilege to serve God through this ministry and especially to be welcoming a new generation, children of former Whizz Kids.
This year at Minehead, one of the main speakers at Spring Harvest told the audience that he had come to faith years ago during a Whizz Kids session.
So, this year, after an amazing week of fun, games and great teaching, one former Whizz Kid and new member of the team member wrote:
‘Apart from vague memories from when I had been a Whizz Kid myself, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from my first time as part of the team. It turned out to be a lot of fun and a great group of people to be a part of. The early mornings were a bit of a shock to the system, but you can’t complain too much when you get a cooked breakfast out of it! It was nice to start the day with morning devotions as a team, and then have time to make sure everything was ready for the children to arrive. Things turn into a bit of a blur once the doors opened, with 25 children in my group who all wanted to tell or show you something at the same time, but it was a happy blur. It was lovely to see how children who were initially apprehensive became more confident throughout the week, and especially those with additional needs who happily joined in songs and games as they became accustomed to their surroundings and the leaders. This week was a real reminder of how important children are. They do not have to just wait until they are older to meet God, but are just as a part of the church as any adult. It was so encouraging to see them wanting to pray for each other and for refugees across the world, and some of them produced really profound and honest answers during discussions. Jesus told us to be like children and this week really reminded me of that. I hope to be a part of the Whizz Kids team again next year!’

History Makers – 2018 dates out soon
For School Years 7, 8, 9 and 10.
We gather together for six days in the summer in the south downs to hang out, play games and learn more about God. Throughout the week we have morning and evening studies or seminars about relevant issues that affect our lives. We also play many games throughout the week and there are many activities to get involved in. Each year we see youth return because they have enjoyed their time the previous year, as well as seeing many new faces because they all want to bring their friends!
